Palace
of Justice in La PlataThis beautiful construction is located in La Plata,
the capital of the Province of Buenos Aires. This city with its public
buildings and its cathedral was the first city in South America being
totally projected before its foundation in 1890. The palace of Justice,
of French style design, was inaugurated in 1918 and is up to now the Seat
of the Judicial Authority and of the High Court of Buenos Aires Province.
The 1200 employees who are working in the palace of Justice attend a public
of 5000 persons/day. For the government’s authorities the conservation
of this building is of great importance, since 80 percent of the construction
is in its original state. The restoration of the Palace of Justice included
also the fire detection and alarm system for the whole building.

of Justice in La PlataAs an expert in alarm and security installations
in buildings of historical and architectural value Securiton was chosen
to realize the project. The special detection systems of Securiton were
the ideal solution for supervising this construction as they allow maintaining
the architectural features of design and materials without modifications.
A SecuriPro system, including four MCU 211 with eight loops has been installed
controlling more than 1,000 smoke temperature detectors STD 531; 15 smoke
aspiration systems ASD 516-4 control the four historical saloons, the
library, the server room, the five domes decorated with frescos, the archives,
and the printing house. Two linear heat detector systems ADW 511 control
the parking area. A FireVision system reinforces the supervision of the
server room, being the first installed in South America. The SLS-Pro Alarm
Management System is monitoring the building. In the near future, the
SLS-Pro will monitor 500 additional buildings located in the whole Province
of Buenos Aires, from the control room of the Palace of Justice. Each
building will have installed a SecuriPro and a RMS interface.
